30-DAY STORYLEARNING® CHALLENGE

Invincible Irregular Verbs

Take our grammar-slaying, fluency-boosting March challenge and master 50+ common irregular verbs that will get you speaking French with bulletproof confidence and accuracy!

Start Date: March 1st

Level: A2 / B1 (Upper Beginner / Lower Intermediate)

French has A LOT of irregular verbs. And they are really hard to remember.

Many of these are common, everyday verbs, essential for basic conversation.

Get them wrong and you’ll struggle to speak French at all.

And when you do, your rookie mistakes will immediately out you as a foreigner.

If French irregular verbs give you nightmares, you’re not alone.

French learners from New York to New Castle are driven demented by these irritating and illogical verbs:

  • You constantly forget which verbs are irregular (and in which tenses) when trying to speak
  • You can’t express yourself the way you want to because you’re trying to avoid the irregular verbs you're not comfortable with
  • Your French lacks precision and your conjugations are often wildly inaccurate

The result...

You're left feeling like a failure, devoid of the confidence to speak French with the native-like accuracy and flow you dream of.

It's easy to feel like you'll never be able to use irregular verbs as freely and naturally as native speakers do. It's just one of those things you'll have to live with, right?

But fear not… help is at hand!

I’ve created a unique 30-Day Challenge, "Invincible Irregular Verbs", that will help you learn and internalise 50+ essential French irregular verbs, so you can express yourself accurately and speak the language with native-like confidence.

Irregular verbs are a really big deal in French because many of the most common French verbs are irregular!

Verbs like:

  • faire
  • avoir
  • falloir
  • savoir
  • vouloir
  • prendre
  • mettre
  • sortir

(These are all used A LOT in everyday French!)

Without them, you'll struggle to string a single sentence together in French.

So there's no avoiding it...

If you want to speak good French, you HAVE TO master irregular verbs... like it or not!

The good news is that when you master the most everyday irregular verbs, you'll immediately speak French with infinitely more flow and accuracy.

No more clumsy "have a guess" verb conjugations.

No more embarrassing “memory failures” in conversation.

No more silly "foreigner" mistakes.

And most importantly...

No more frustrating silences when you chat with your French-speaking family and friends.

Introducing the March Challenge:

"Invincible Irregular Verbs"

With...

Here’s how the challenge works.

The challenge is based on an exciting original story in French that develops over the 30 days of the challenge.

This is a brand new story, written exclusively for this 30-Day Challenge.

We’ve created the story to be jam-packed with examples of 50+ French irregular verbs in context. These verbs appear in all of the different verb tenses so you can clearly see how they work and which forms are irregular.

Every day, you’ll receive one new chapter of the story, along with a short video lesson and simple exercises to help you understand the irregular verbs used in the story.

It'll take you about 15 minutes each day.

All you have to do is show up every day…

Over the course of the month, the daily immersion will help you absorb the verb conjugations naturally, until you "just know" instinctively how French irregular verbs work and how to conjugate them.

The result is that you'll be able to speak French confidently without worrying about irregular verbs or trying to figure conjugations out in your head before you talk.

Instead, you'll use French verbs freely and fluently, because...

1) You'll instinctively know which verbs are irregular and...

2) The conjugations you need will already be where you need them - on the tip of your tongue!

Here's What's Included...

The concept is beautifully simple!

Every day, for 30 days, you’ll get:

  • One 250-word chapter of our French story (jam-packed with examples of French irregular verbs in context)
  • The written story plus audio book (so you can read or listen...wherever you are!)
  • An insightful daily video lesson with our instructor, Nolwenn. (She'll explain the different verbs used in the story)
  • A short daily practice exercise (to help you remember what you’ve learned)
  • Discussion with dozens of fellow challengers in our interactive Facebook group (so you can discuss the story and get answers to questions).

We’ve carefully structured the entire 30 days, so all you have to do is turn up and get stuck in!

Frequently Asked Questions

What level is the challenge for?
Both the story and the lesson content is aimed at A2-B1 level. (That's high-beginner to low-intermediate) In other words, this is for you if you've been studying French for a little while (or maybe a long while!), can understand at least some French, but struggle to use irregular verbs in a comfortable and natural way.
How can I access the challenge?
Mobile, desktop, laptop, tablet... The challenge is super user-friendly and you'll be able to log on from anywhere!
What exactly will I learn? How will this challenge help me?
During this challenge, we'll focus on the most important French irregular verbs. You'll see these same irregular verbs, in different examples, over and over in the story. This means you'll learn the verbs to the point where they're effortless and automatic. You'll get daily lessons from Cathy, where you'll learn how exactly different irregular verbs are used. This means you'll develop an intuitive and native-like understanding of how to choose the correct irregular verbs in different situations.
What if it's too hard, or my level is too low?
To make the challenge achievable, we've kept each chapter short - only 300 words! This means that you'll be able to easily make it to the end of the chapter each day, even if it does take you a little longer. However, the daily video lessons will give you all the support you need, as you'll have clear, professional explanations for how different irregular verbs are being used in the story. This means that, even if you're really unsure about French irregular verbs right now, just by watching and studying the daily videos, you'll learn to think about irregular verbs like a native speaker by the end of the challenge. If I had my way, this is the only way students would ever learn French!
What's so special about this "story" method anyway?
Most French students try to learn the irregular verbs through rules. This doesn't work, and is extremely stressful for you as a learner. Why? Because there are lots of so-called "rules" and it's impossible to hold them all in your head at the same time while you're speaking. It's also not a natural approach ... native speakers don't learn grammar with rules, after all! With the "Invincible Irregular Verbs" challenge, you'll learn through example and context, just like native speakers do! The magic of learning through story is that your main focus is actually not on the grammar... you concentrate on understanding and enjoying the story! As you're reading and listening to the story, the irregular verbs will begin to lodge themselves subconsciously in your brain. It doesn't happen right away - in fact it may take a couple of weeks for you to feel the real effects. But by the end of the 30 days, you'll have a native-like command of French verbs that will amaze you.
I'm not sure I can commit for 30 days
Your daily commitment is only 15 minutes. This is because the principle of the challenge is little and often is the best way to learn. 15 minutes is a pretty manageable amount of time to devote to your French. You can fit it in comfortably: • before breakfast • during your lunch break • after dinner • ...even while waiting for the bus! The power is in the consistency - working at it for a short time every day. You'll be amazed at the huge progress you make from simply showing up every day to work on one area of your French! Remember, you get the audio of the story, as well as the text, so you can easily take part and keep up wherever you happen to be!
What if I am unhappy with the challenge?
I would never want you to be unhappy! If you are unsatisfied with the challenge, contact me at any point during the challenge and I'll issue you full and prompt refund.
How long do I have access to the course after the end of the challenge?
How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own.
